I am an illustrator and picture book maker.
I work by hand, mostly using willow charcoal and a putty rubber. Occasionally I use watercolour, ink and pencils too.
My books have been translated into 7 languages for
Hodder Children's Books (Hachette UK)
Oxford University Press (UK)
Orecchio Acerbo Editore (Italy)
Peach Tree (USA)
I live and work by a windy beach on the east coast of Scotland with a beardy man, two little boys, 5 hens and a cockerel. Like many an artist before me, the natural world is a treasured source of creativity.
